Where should we shop? Have you tried any new good restaurants? Read any good books lately? Most people love to share their opinions with others. People love to talk about all their favorite things (and not-so-favorites, as well) with friends and family and we do it everyday for free. Word-of-mouth is actually what drives the market in many cases. This is why there is an opportunity to cash in by sharing your opinions on blogs.

Blogging got its start in 1995, but has been growing faster and faster in the last few years. Blogs are easy to start due, in part, to the advances of free applications like Wordpress.org and Google's blogger.com. Even a complete beginner can implement their blog in less than an hour. Check out the guide at the end of this article to see how you can get started blogging for profit.

If you've made it this far into the article, you've probably already got some of the skills required; you love to try new things and you love sharing your opinion. You'll also need enough knowledge of the computer to set up a nice looking blog, or you'll need to find someone to set it up for you. Being able to write an interesting review is also a valuable asset. If this appeals to you, you may be well on your way to earning money on your blog by sharing your opinion.

Consumer reviews and word-of-mouth are two powerful tools that companies use to market and sell their products and services. How do you go from blogging a review into developing a home-based business that actually pays you money?

Pay for Your Review or Survey: When companies want their products reviewed, they often pay bloggers to do the leg work. A popular paid review site is PayPerPost.com. They've made it their mission to connect bloggers with companies looking for reviews. Once your blog starts to get a steady readership, you'll qualify for these opportunities.

Pay for Product Research: Companies may request researchers to actually use a product and submit an honest opinion and review of their findings. These product research fees can range up to $75 per review and you get to keep the product after the test is over. I've received all kinds of books from publishers and CD's that I've reviewed. It's a great way to add to your book collection. Just be sure to only accept free items from companies who you're actually going to review. It pays to say "no" if it keeps you on their good side for future offers.

Pay for Ads: Selling advertisement on your blog is another way to earn money. Offer text ads, banner/graphic ad spots, as well as paid reviews to ensure that companies find a way to advertise on your site.

The potential to earn money from writing about products and services on your blog are endless. Take a minute and do a quick search online and you will find hundreds of ideas to write about, and find the companies that are requesting reviews. Chances are something you just tried recently is available for you to write about on your blog.
